In the mid 1980s, the famous French interior designer Christian Liaigre introduced his personal aesthetic. Linear, minimalist and extremely modern, it was completely unexpected in an era characterised by bold excess. But his use of restrained colours together with materials such as wood, bronze and leather became synonymous with natural elegance and formed the inspiration for this chic blend of beige and grey.
